You are right in your Function Group and subroutine but we generally use READ_TEXT for fetching any standard (SO10) text as sugg by Netweaver developer.
You need to pass parameters as shown
For other kinds of Standard text processing we have FM's like INIT_TEXT, SAVE_TEXT, etc.
